Becky L. DelVecchio, PhD
Early Childhood Researcher, Educator, Faculty Member
“The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct.” – Carl Jung
Dr. DelVecchio has spent the last 25 years in the field of early childhood education and care (ECEC), serving as both educator and caregiver of young children and families, and faculty member of ECEC college students. She strives to ignite a sense of inspiration and wonder about the ways children, families, and teachers live, learn, develop, and grow. Dr. DelVecchio's research interests focus on two areas: 1. nature play for children and families, and 2. leadership development of professionals from within in the field of ECEC. She believes that each of these research interests will enable her to center the experiences of children, families, and educators as we work toward a more equitable society.
